ALPESH PATEL

Alpesh Patel (alpesh.com) was born in India and came to the US in 1979 at the age of seven.  He grew up in the small town of Mechanicsburg, PA.  In 1995, Alpesh graduated from Penn State University’s film production program. 

In 1996, Alpesh was a cinematographer/director for Cerebellum Corporation in Virginia, makers of humorous educational videos.  While there, he won a 1997 Telly Award.

In 1997, he moved to Los Angeles, to pursue his film career.  There Alpesh became an assistant editor.  He assistant edited for shows such as, Unsolved Mysteries, Penn and Teller’s Bullshit, Trading Spouses and  America’s Next Top Model.

In 1998, also continuing to pursue screenwriting wrote the screenplay, History of the Halls of Jefferson High, a spoof on 80’s high school films.  It made it to the semifinals in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship competition.

In 2002, Alpesh wrote and directed his first feature film, Graduation Night. GN played at several film festivals including, Palms Springs International Film Festival and Newport Beach film festival.   GN began to air nationally on Starz and
Encore movie channels. 

In 2004, Alpesh soon transitioned to an editor, editing for such TV shows as,
The Ultimate Fighter and Dirty Jobs.  Alpesh is a regular editor for the Sci-Fi hit series, Ghost Hunters.

In 2005, Alpesh’s second feature film, Blind Ambition went into production.  BA is a romantic comedy about a blind girl running a marathon.  BA has since been in many film festivals such as the Austin Film Festival and has won many film festival awards. 


Touch Wood marks third feature as a writer and second as a director and producer.

PRAMOD KUMAR

Indian Actor/ Producer Pramod Kumar was born in Jabalpur , India. He became interested in acting at a very young age. ‘My friends used to tell me that I wasn’t  just bitten by the acting bug, I got mauled by the acting cougar.” He frequented movies and Plays until he finally decided to pursue theater at the young age 10.

He took a small break from acting to complete his masters in chemistry from Robertson College of science in India. With all his past success he longed for the chance to make it in Hollywood. Finally, in 1998, with his wife Pooja’s support he decided it was time to make the move to Los angels.

Upon his arrival in Hollywood, Pramod became one of the most recognizable faces, doing 26 commercials in three years. Eventually he got another break as a recurring character on My Name Is Earl.

Highlights of his other credits include supporting role in the film Starsky and Hutch. Guest Role on the Fox series The Loop. As Guest star in TV Show Starter Wife, Heroes, lead role in the short Indian Wants the Bronx’s. Co-Star role in the feature A Real Job for which he  was nominated for best Supporting Actor for the DVD Premiere Awards.

As a Producer his movie Touch Wood is releasing soon.
